Director of Regulatory, Research & Development (Reg/R&D)
The Director of REG/R&D will oversee the management of both the Regulatory and R&D teams, setting the strategic direction for the business unit to ensure the timely development and approval of new products in both the Canadian and international markets. The position will report to the CEO.

Job Functions:
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Regulatory and R&D teams.
- Overall responsible for implementing regulatory strategies to ensure market access and compliance for BAM’s products in the appropriate and relevant markets.
- Manage the in-house research and development programs and supervise and advise on the execution of R&D projects.
- Oversight of all registration submissions for compliance and accuracy.
- Liaison with Health Canada and the FDA to facilitate product approvals and resolve regulatory issues.
- Oversee external regulatory consultants programing, tasks, and deliverables.
- Monitor changes in regulatory guidelines and ensure the company’s practices are updated accordingly.
- Lead the R&D team in the design and execution of preclinical and clinical studies.
- Ensure that R&D activities are aligned with regulatory requirements, company goals, and prioritizations.
Position Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D, Pharm.D., or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory / R&D within the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of successful regulatory submissions and product approvals.
- 5 years of active management of people with demonstrated active listening, coaching, and feedback qualities.
- Advanced level and comprehension of statistics and mathematical equations required.
