Quality Control (QC) Chemist – Full Time, Permanent
Location: Mitchell, Ontario
Department: Quality Control
Salary: Starting rate $48,000 (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift only (8.5 hours/day, 30-minute unpaid lunch)

We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Control Chemist to join our growing QC team to fill an open position.

Position Overview
The QC Chemist reports to the QC Manager. They perform laboratory analyses and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with Health Canada, FDA, and HACCP guidelines for manufacturing medicated feed additives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical, physical, spectroscopic, and chromatographic testing of raw materials and finished products
- Maintain accurate laboratory records in accordance with cGMP standards
- Prepare and complete documentation for material release
- Ensure laboratory equipment and environment meet cGMP requirements
- Participate in R&D activities, if qualified
Required Skills & Abilities
- Analytical laboratory experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with the use, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Strong attendance record
Education & Experience
- Minimum B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related science field
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical QC laboratory operations preferred
- LC-MS experience considered an asset
