Maintenance Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Full-Time employment.

Benefits:

Minimum starting hourly rate: $43.00/per hour. Wages are commensurate with experience.

Day Shift Times: 7 am to 3:30 pm – Monday to Friday (5 – 8 hours shifts).

Overtime: 1.5 x hourly rate paid after working more than 40 hours in a workweek.

Health Benefits: Enrollment into the company plan upon completion of a successful probation period.

Holiday Bonus: $1,000 bonus for Full-time active employees. It will be pro-rated based on your start date and active employment days. This bonus will be paid in late December.

Job Duties / Requirements:

  • Leading, managing, and accountable for the Maintenance team at BAM.
  • Supervise and assist with the preventative and emergency maintenance tasks on equipment and throughout the facilities.
  • Supervise and assist with repairs to malfunctioning equipment, such as motors, pumps, valves, controls, and other machines.
  • Sourcing and fabrication of new production equipment.
  • Sourcing and ordering parts and equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment.
  • Maintaining the preventative maintenance program.
  • Scheduling Maintenance Technicians to perform preventative and repair maintenance.
  • Responsible for installing and/or dismantling machinery and equipment.
  • Perform fabrication duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other diagrams.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, as well as the ability to complete required documentation.
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and cGMP standards are followed.

Educational Experience/Background:

  • 5 years of experience preferably in the Food and Drug Industry as a Maintenance Supervisor
  • Valid trade certificate as an Industrial Millwright 433A
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, blenders and packaging equipment
  • Knowledge of GMP is an asset
