As part of the HACCP certification of our manufacturing division in 2001, Bio Agri Mix conducted a complete Hazard Analysis of all aspects of our products and processes. BSE transmission via fermentation products was identified as a potential hazard (albeit unlikely) therefore we requested that all our suppliers review their processes and certify that their material was free from materials known to present a BSE risk. Since that time any new supplier of an ingredient manufactured using a fermentation process has been required to supply certification that their materials are free of BSE risk. We hold assurances from all our suppliers that their products pose no risk of transmission of BSE and in turn, this allows us to state that our products are free from materials known to pose a risk of BSE transmission.
