Bio Agri Mix Introduces Microtracers

June 26, 2007

Have you ever mixed feed and had an uneasy feeling about whether it was contaminated with small amounts of sulfamethazine from previous batches? Now, Bio Agri Mix products that contain sulfamethazine come with microtracers! A quick and easy test can be conducted at your facility in a matter of minutes so that you can be sure. The procedure will show as little as 1 ppm of sulfamethazine in the feed so that you can know whether you are facing a problem or not. Kits and instruction sheets are available from your Bio Agri Mix representative.

Bio Agri Mix Now HACCP and ISO 9001 (2000) Compliant!

June 26, 2007

Bio Agri Mix is pleased to announce that our line of animal health products and granular feed medications is now manufactured under a HACCP and ISO 9001 (2000) compliant system.

"This is a further demonstration of our commitment to the Canadian Feed Industry and of our own commitment to quality systems in our operations. Whether or not we happen to be the first Canadian Animal Health company to achieve HACCP compliance is of little consequence; we are keeping in step with the requirements of our industry and the industry that we supply." said Paul Lake, President of Bio Agri Mix.

Bio Agri Mix Announces 3 New Notices of Compliance.

June 26, 2007

Bio Agri Mix has three new NOC's. Two add new claims to previously registered products and the third deals with a withdrawal period. Details are as follows:

TYLOSIN 10 / TYLOSIN 40 PREMIXES - There is now NO WITHDRAWAL on the use of these products at any registered use level. The specific change is removal of the 2 day withdrawal period previously associated with the ileitis claim on our label.

MONENSIN PREMIX - Now registered for use in cattle. Both poultry and cattle uses are on the same label. This improves inventory efficiencies and extends the benefit of granulation associated with this product.

PENICILLIN G POTASSIUM USP SOLUBLE POWDER - Approved to add the claim for use in swine for the treatment of infections caused by penicillin susceptible Streptococcus Suis.

All of these underline our continuing commitment to the animal health business in Canada.

Product labelling is being updated and, of course, the Medi-List will reflect these changes shortly.

New Medilist

June 26, 2007

The new Medi-List (June 16, 2006) is now available. In this version is a "planned obsolescence"...after 6 months, it will stop working and you will be prompted to revisit this web-site or call our office to obtain a more current version. This is an initiative that will keep you up-to-date with current label information. Don't worry, the program will give you ample notice so you aren't surprised at an inopportune time. You can access the new Medi-List either by downloading it from this web-site (one of the yellow buttons on the left).
